Beams of Light

See what happens when you over water?

It’s time to tend a little garden.

Grab some tin snips and start

with the metal myrtle.

I know, they aren’t weeds, just plants

in the wrong place.

Maybe not so wrong though as

the seeds were cast in iron.

The sky the planner, planter scraped

was peeled and set like beams of light.

Now we like ants wander underneath

and in and out,

and in and out.

off topic…tried to comment on blogger blogs first time today with my wordpress ID and strange things happened…ts…ts…some blogger blogs didn’t allow me to comment at all with wp id – i had to use an open id in the end…some made me claudiamargarethe and some jaywalkingthemoon – but none of them let me comment as claudia….well…we’ll get there..

  2. An overwatered garden. Great overall concept and use of language.

Excellent flow, which also fits the image very well. Cool take on the prompt, Jerry

  3. nice…great minds think alike on the ants…our garden is more than plentiful but the food is not scarce, just controlled by 1 %….nicely played jerry…
