Poetry, essay, and prose, oh my!

Indented Doors

Comma’s in

The pedestrian way.

Pauses, like cells

In a monastery–

Call us to pray

Out of the fray.

Slip in

The perspective, stay.

Queues in which

To stand when

You can’t stand it.

A momentary huddle.

A set aside,

Alone, abide,

Piece of peace,

Space of quiet

Out of the riot.

Would that I try it.

  1. It took several readings for a well crafted message to reveal itself. Comma’s like prayer, a pause to gives perspective, bringing meaning into focus. That’s my ‘take-away’.

    1. Prayer is often my last resort, but I’m working on it. The crowds of thought, anxiety, humanity, work, etc. often keep me from ducking into a doorway to gain some perspective on my busy life. Thanks for hanging in there on this one.

Thanks for your time and thoughts.
